The QNAP TS-873AeU-RP-4G 2U shallow rackmount NAS offers 8 2.5"/3.5" bays, 2 M.2 slots for SSD caching and two 2.5 GbE LAN controllers. It features an AMD Ryzen V1500B processor (4 cores/8 threads) which is able to boost the performance of virtual machines. It is also scalable with up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory and offers a PCIe 3.0 8x slot for adding functionality via an expansion card.

The iSER (iSCSI Extensions for RDMA) protocol boosts VMware ESXi storage data transfer performance and reduces ESXi server CPU load. iSER support can be added to the TS-873AeU-RP by installing a QNAP 10 GbE PCIe card QXG-10G2SF-CX4 that uses the Mellanox ConnectX-4 controller. iSER can provide a significant increase in performance, offering an essential tool for optimizing demanding virtualization applications.
Intelligent Monitoring Solution
QVR Elite is QNAP's subscription-based intelligent monitoring solution that allows you to easily deploy a monitoring system with lower total cost of ownership and superior scalability.
