The QNAP TS-1673AU-RP-8G 2U rackmount NAS offers 16 2.5"/3.5" bays and a 2.5 GbE LAN controller. It features an AMD Ryzen V1500B processor (4 cores/8 threads) which is able to boost the performance of virtual machines. It is also scalable with up to 32GB of DDR4 memory and offers two 4x PCIe 3.0 slots for adding functionality via expansion cards.
The TS-1673AU-RP also features a redundant power supply to ensure that the system stays up and running as long as possible. State-of-the-art hardware integrated with comprehensive software solutions makes the TS-1673AU-RP the preferred choice for resource-intensive applications and tasks.

The TS-1673AU-RP comes with two 2.5GbE RJ45 network ports that allow you to use existing CAT5e cables to upgrade network speeds from 1 to 2.5 Gigabit. You can also achieve 5GbE speeds using Port Aggregation. To upgrade your laptops and desktops to take advantage of high-speed networks, QNAP offers various adapters and peripherals, including a USB 3.2 Gen 1 to 5GbE adapter (model name QNA-UC5G1T) and a PCIe 5GbE expansion card (model name QXG-5G1T-111C).

optimised for VMware virtualisation with iSER
The iSER (iSCSI Extensions for RDMA) protocol boosts VMware ESXi storage data transfer performance and reduces ESXi server CPU load. Support for iSER can be added to the TS-1673AU-RP by installing a QNAP PCIe 10GbE QXG-10G2SF-CX4 card that uses the Mellanox ConnectX-4 controller. iSER can provide a significant increase in performance, offering an essential tool for optimizing demanding virtualization applications.
