Used for archiving large volumes of data. Easy to assemble and use. The seller's advice was interesting, and after discussion he changed my mind about the equipment I was initially thinking about, without adding to the price. A NAS server with a solid design, a simple, high-performance software suite and system-assisted installation. A good choice for securing home or SME data, with a recognised and controlled UPS (eaton), automated external backup (usb disk), programmable and effective antivirus scanning. In short, very good value for money. Highly recommended +++++
Bought to replace an old DS212 that could no longer be updated to the new version of the DSM (in my opinion, it's a bit like programmed obsolescence), there were no installation problems.
All I had to do was replace the disks from the previous DS, and the migration was almost self-explanatory.
Replacement for a DS213,
The disks were recognised directly and a hassle-free update recovered all the data.
Lots of possibilities with the latest version of DSM.
Has been running for over a month with no problems.
