Powered by an Intel Celeron J4005 Dual-Core 2 GHz processor (burst up to 2.7 GHz), DDR4 RAM (up to 8 GB), Gigabit LAN port and support for SATA 6 Gb/s hard drives, the TS-251D combines network expansion cards to ensure consistent read/write performance. The TS-251D incorporates Intel AES-NI 256 accelerated encryption for the entire NAS volumes and shared folders, improving the system performance while ensuring the security of sensitive data stored in the TS-251D.
Equipped with Intel UHD Graphics technology, the TS-251D supports hardware decoding and real-time transcoding on two 4K channels, allowing you to convert videos into universal file formats that can be played back smoothly on multiple devices. You can also watch high-quality 4K media files on an HDTV using the HDMI 2.0 output or use it with Plex Media Server to stream media files to mobile devices and media streaming devices (including DLNA, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast).
The TS-251D stores data and files centrally and supports file sharing protocols including SMB/CIFS, AFP and NFS for Windows, Mac and Linux/UNIX devices. Combined with Qsync (a feature that turns a QNAP NAS into a secure and high-capacity data centre for file synchronisation), any file uploaded to the TS-251D will be made available to all related devices, such as computers, laptops, or mobile devices. Hybrid Backup Sync allows you to easily backup or synchronize data on the TS-251D to other QNAP NAS, remote servers, or cloud storage for easy disaster recovery
QuMagie incorporates QuMagie Core AI image recognition technology for facial recognition, feature identification, and photo geolocation. Similar photos are sorted into People, Places and Objects albums. In addition, QuMagie includes features such as built-in timeline scrolling, customizable album covers, an iOS Live Photos view and a powerful search tool, giving you the ideal solution for managing and sharing images.
