Equipped with a Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A55 processor, the QNAP TS-133 offers home users multiple features including snapshot-based backup, file synchronization, and private cloud services.     everything is complicated

    I switched from Synology to QNAP to see if it would be better. Well, it's the same only not as good. The choices to be made during installation (to format a disk, encrypt it, etc.) are not very clear, and you have to start over several times before you find the right solution. The interface is so cumbersome that it's slow and confusing. They tried to copy Synology, what a bad idea :(
    The monitoring app you have to install on your phone is just as bad, you get alerts but they just say "go and check the NAS admin to find out what's going on". Big deal!
    In short, for storing back-ups it's fine, but the rest is a gas factory, and that's a real shame.

    No restart of installed applications when the NAS is rebooted.

    Third-party applications, including MinimServer, remain inoperative after shutting down and restarting the NAS.
    These applications have to be uninstalled and reinstalled. I have never encountered this problem on my other two QNAP NAS units.
