This NAS product is what I expected. It's very easy to set up, it implements a raid solution connected to a local network. It can be used as a cloud, accessible via the net, and it is a Western Digital product with 'red' disks. Proof of quality.
It's a pity that you can't set a periodicity for backups to USB (like I could do on my old Iomega NAS).
Otherwise, beware of the MyCloud's sleep mode, which may prevent you from connecting, and even force you to reboot (unplug/plug in fact, no reboot button) to access the interface again.
The "internal" network connections are still, strangely enough, operational.
Since I deactivated this sleep mode, everything seems to be fine.
I was able to get it up and running today thanks to the LDLC service technician, at first I didn't have a good configuration.
Clear explanations and immediate operation.
Good online instructions.
I just have to connect it to another computer.

Despite a good speed of 9 Mb/s tested for the occasion, and access to the NAS with a recent & powerful PC, being 1m from my Livebox: Access to photo files is a bit slow and video playback is impossible (jerky, etc...)
I'm in RAID1 (my files are in duplicate, 1 on each disk)...Is it the encryption that alters the playback speed?
