N300 drives provide high reliability by reducing vibration through control and sensor technology. Numerous sensors detect even the slightest shock, and built-in VR sensors compensate for rotational vibration, reducing the risk of harmful vibration in the multi-bay NAS setup system.
By offering high reliability and scalability, the N300 guarantees a workload factor of up to 180 TB/year, which is up to 3 times more than conventional desktop hard drives.
The use of very robust components is one of the reasons why the N300 series guarantees a higher durability than conventional hard drives. Received in a thick cardboard box, with inflatable cushions on each side, it protects well during transport. Very quiet, you don't hear it scratching or hardly at all, and it doesn't whistle. Fits perfectly in DS920 and DX517.
I took this drive for its capacity and speed and the fact that it is specifically designed for a NAS. It does the job and has been working properly for a few weeks. I'm just sorry that it scratches a bit, which can be a bit annoying if you place it, like me, near your TV :) ... but nothing bad either, if you have the means, prefer an SSD :-)
