I've had it in my setup for 5 years with no issues. It works perfectly. The storage gives me enough space for a whole bunch of triple A games.
There's nothing negative to report, it found its place in my tower to install light games.
- Very easy to install (like any other SATA HDD).
- Fast, quiet operation.
- Not too power-hungry.
- Very decent transfer rate.
I'm always happy to use the 'Seagate,' 'BarraCuda' series.
1 year and a half in a NAS (including 6 months without use), dead disk ...
I'm very disappointed with this brand.
During the first few days of operation on a QNAP NAS, the disk "scratches" at times.
After a few days it doesn't do so any more.
According to the QNAP disk analyser, the hard disk is in good health.
Installed in a NAS (xpenology, Node804 box), it runs very smoothly, clearly not silent, you can hear it "scratching" when you use it, but it's not prohibitive. I'm delighted with this model, guaranteed by Seagate.

Used in an array of 4 in a Truenas NAS in ZFS. No problems to report, fast reading and writing, and no problems with a parity reset.
Installed on my Nas. Works fine. 3.6GB available after installation but that's normal (you always get screwed the first time).
I ordered 2 hard disks with a problem on 1 of the disks, the return procedure for defective product was fast and attentive! After finding out the disk was changed without any problem! Since then I have bought 4 other disks which work perfectly! I recommend them!
The information on the processing and tracking is top notch! I'm very pleased with the service and the quality of the product.
