Good but noisy
I got the 6 To model to back up my media, alongside another hard drive and the cloud. I was looking for a drive that would be reliable over time and not too noisy. I’d read in several places that it was quiet. But out of the dozens of hard drives I’ve owned over the years, this is by far the noisiest: when it syncs thousands of small files with the cloud, it feels like there’s a hamster in the next room. At idle or with large files, it’s more bearable.
That said, it bothers me less than the WD Black 4To that I quickly resold because it made a “thunk” every 2 seconds.
And 10/10 for LDLC: delivered the next day, in Belgium!
