Japanese reliability!
The formatting went well, my subsequent backup too.
It remains to be seen how it will hold up over time with shocks etc., but reviews of Toshiba drives are generally excellent!

Will be used as a backup hard drive for backups. The architecture has been tried and tested over the years and it won't be used too much, which will (I hope) make it last.
I wouldn't say that it's this model that has a problem because I don't know, but mine broke down about a month ago. So after 3 years of use in an external USB box (also bought on LDLC).
It started to make little noises from time to time and then more and more often until it could no longer supply data.
So I wouldn't recommend it.
The parcel arrived at the parcel delivery point in perfect condition, very well packaged.
The hard disk in box version is also well protected.
Installed in an ICYBOX IB-287-C31 external enclosure, the drive is well recognised.
Partitioned and formatted in NTFS, the file transfers are correct for use in external backup.
Very satisfied with my purchase.
I bought this to complete the storage of my NAS under OMV ...Recognized immediately by the system. After configuration, the transfer rate was more than sufficient for the intended use.
