A quiet and fairly fast hard drive, mine lasted 7 years with intense daily use (showed signs of slowing down when starting software and games), in short it's robust and it won't slip through your hands any time soon, but always watch out for signs of fatigue before your hard drive becomes completely unusable and you can no longer recover what's on it.
A first 1000 GB 7200 disk older but still without problem is the disk with system volume
(Win XP + Linux Mint 21 recently.) plus current data.
The first 2000GB replaces a second internal 500GB drive for duplicate data
The second 2000 GB is "internally" connectable outside the computer with autonomous power supply.
It is used as an additional backup (among others).
Large black aluminium heat sinks on all disks limit temperatures (30°C to 32°C, maximum 36°C).
The choice has been guided since 2008 by single platter disks (320, 500, 1000 and now 2000).
Everything is OK
2 disks bought for Raid on a Nas as storage + Plex server. The disks are quiet and access is fast. Satisfied
Well packaged, well received. The only fault is that there is no sata cable supplied with the drive.
The only problem is that there is no sata cable included with the drive and there is no note explaining how to activate the drive via the disk manager.
The first one was defective straight away. I sent it back to LDLC for an exchange and received a new one a week later. No more problems, quiet and fast.
