Designed by StarTech.com, this USB 3.1 dual hard drive enclosure allows you to easily add a high-capacity, high-performance external data storage solution to your laptop or desktop computer. This RAID enclosure features two bays that can support two 3.5" SATA hard drives with ultra-fast data transfer speeds and configurable RAID modes. This 3.5" dual-bay hard drive enclosure offers high transfer rates up to 10 Gb/s using USB 3.1 Gen 2 performance, supports SATA I, II and III interfaces, and offers UASP optimisation to maximise performance and speed of SATA III drives.
With its many RAID options, you can enjoy high-performance storage. This enclosure supports RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD, and SPAN (BIG) technologies, allowing you to choose your preferred backup mode and customise your drive layout to suit your storage requirements.
To maximise both durability and reliability, this external RAID enclosure is made of plastic and aluminium. It features a metal hard drive mounting drawer. It also incorporates a fan to help dissipate operating heat and maintain an optimal operating environment for added hard drive protection.
The two-bay hard drive enclosure includes both a USB-C cable and a USB-A cable for easy connection. Through USB-C it is also Thunderbolt 3 compatible. Operating system independent, this enclosure does not require the installation of any additional software or drivers.
