Turn your PCIe M.2 NVMe or M.2 SATA SSD into a highly portable USB external storage solution. This SM2E1BMU31C enclosure from StarTech. com features a USB 3.1 (10 Gbps) port with UASP and PCIe 3.0 support for read/write data transfer speeds of up to 1GB per second. Working with both PCIe and SATA-based drives, this enclosure provides compatibility with virtually any M.2 drive, supporting both M-Key (PCIe) and B+M-Key (SATA) drives in sizes 2230/2242/2260/2280.
For cross-platform support, this USB-C host enclosure includes two different host cables, a USB-C to USB-C cable (50 cm) and a USB-C to USB-A cable (25 cm). With backward compatibility of the USB protocol, this M.2 enclosure ensures operation with virtually any computer, whether it's USB-A, USB-C or Thunderbolt 3.
Take advantage of the high speeds of your M.2 NVMe or SATA drive with this external SSD enclosure. It offers a theoretical maximum throughput of 10 Gbps for USB 3.1, which is double the speed of USB 3.0 at 5 Gbps. The enclosure also supports PCIe 3.0 which, when combined with an M.2 NVMe drive, takes full advantage of the throughput available for USB 3.1.
The fanless aluminium enclosure features ventilation holes for maximum heat dissipation, ensuring quiet operation at optimal temperatures to preserve drive performance and protect the drive from the hazards of overheating.
