Ramp load/unload technology moves the recording heads away from the platters when the drive is not in use and when powering down, ensuring less wear and tear on the recording heads and media.

Surely, with its 2M hours MTBF and 5-year warranty, this is a 'durable' product. However, there are a few limitations: with 7200rpm, speed is severely hampered, and despite 256mb of cache, loading an OS on it means choosing slow execution.
I installed these hard drives to replace seagates on my server in raid 1.
No problems so far.
The product is what I expected.
Not the disc but the delivery: 8 full days, 3 for Ldlc 1 Sunday and 4 for colissimo.
Disc on its way for years.
