I've been using Exos drives for years on my NAS, excellent performance for mechanical drives, and no failures on any of my drives in use for years.
Seagate Exos 7E8 hard drives enable cost-effective mass storage in data centre infrastructures requiring a high reliability enterprise hard drive. Seagate Exos 7E8 enterprise drives allow you to store from 1 TB to multiple terabytes of data, without compromising performance.

Exos 7E8 drives have a mean time between failures of two million hours and support workloads of 550 TB per year- 10 times more than desktop hard drives.
Incorporating the tenth generation of proven Conventional Magnetic Recording (CMR) technology, the Exos 7E8 drives enable data centres and IT professionals to reduce the cost of data storage by up to 50%.IT professionals to ensure rock-solid performance, reliability, security and low total cost of ownership in demanding, continuous operation environments.
Exos 7E8 drives integrate easily into mass storage systems via a 12 Gbps SAS or 6 Gbps SATA interface. With innovative technology advancements such as PowerChoice and RAID Rebuild, you can customise your nearline storage needs for a significant improvement in your total cost of ownership.
With advanced caching and on-the-fly error correction algorithms, and a design that resists rotational vibration, Exos 7E8 drives deliver consistent performance in multi-drive RAID and replicated systems.

I've been using Exos drives for years on my NAS, excellent performance for mechanical drives, and no failures on any of my drives in use for years.
Impeccable for mass backup.
Excellent value for money.
Thank you very much to LDLC Cesson for your advice.
Meets my expectations (little noise, fast) fast delivery ... only downside: still a bit expensive
Does what it's supposed to do and very good value for money.
Impressive capacity, contained noise.
It's as quiet as I expected. However, it does make a bit of noise when it starts up or when it wakes up from standby. Otherwise, there's nothing to complain about, so you can buy it with your eyes closed if you need a lot of storage.
Speeds of 250-280 MB/s for backing up large files from an SSD (the speed drops very sharply for very small files, but this is usual for a hard disk), in line with the tests that can be found on the Internet. I didn't notice any problems after an initial copy of around ten TB.
Used for data storage on a desktop PC.
18.1 terabytes of memory available in reality, but apart from that, everything's fine. Quick and easy installation. I don't get the impression that it's particularly noisy. It remains to be seen how it will evolve over time.
I ordered two disks to put in raid 0, problem, one of the two heats and makes a noise of saucepan. In absolute terms it works, and the analysis with the Seagate software gives nothing, so no exchange. But given its condition, installing it for sensitive backups is out of the question. I've been a customer here for many years, so I'm a bit disappointed that the problem isn't being dealt with.
With the purchase of my Synology D220+ for the moment it's going very well !
Even if I had not seen that this Hard Disk is not too much made for a NAS use
It still works fine just a little noisy when you do transfers but otherwise top notch
It's a great hard drive, fast,
I've been waiting for 10 days for this drive to arrive, which is a long time!
I'm not sure if it's a good one or not, but I'm sure it's a good one...
