Be careful, because it is not clear that the nvr is delivered without an internal hard drive and that it is mandatory to buy one to be able to operate it (also be careful about compatibility).
Otherwise it works very well. Very good solution for video surveillance at home and thanks to app, you can see what is going on and receive alerts.
Fast delivery and neat package (not like the HDDs delivered separately !!!!)
Replaces my old DS214, quick access, quiet.
The installation escaped me a bit... directly on the TV or via the PC? Same or not? because I did a test directly on the TV, it installs NVR, but no access from my PC?
I'm not sure if it's the same or not....................................................

All my HEDEN cameras found their configuration on this NVR1218 (not without difficulty but the result is there).
Everything works thanks to the good advice of the LDLC staff that I questioned and their answers bore fruit.
The 24 hour recording is done without any problem, and the viewing on TV too.
The only drawback at the moment is that I can't find the configuration for access with my 4G mobile (Apple iOS) but I hope to find it!
Before buying this NVR, I had gone for a NAS of the same brand, namely Synology. Since I wanted to be able to record all my cameras (6), I took this NVR1218 and I am fully satisfied. The installation is very easy, but for the parameter setting of the cameras that is more complicated if your cameras are not listed in the NVR. I spent a little time but I succeeded because my cameras are all SRICAM model SP008. I spent some time but I managed to do it because my cameras are all SRICAM SP008 models and everything is working properly, recording, event search, detection zone. I still have to set up the email and SMS alerts and also the PTZ...... I hope to be able to do this in a while. Negative point: This NVR is delivered with a license for 4 cameras .....Dommage !!!!
