StarTech.com 's PEXESAT32 2-port ExpressCard eSATA 6 Gbps controller card provides simple connectivity between a host computer and eSATA 3.0 devices. It is a cost-effective solution for connecting high-speed storage devices, such as high-speed drives and Solid State Drives (SSDs), which in turn enable easy data backup and archiving.
Compatible with SATA 3.0 hard drives and supporting data transfer speeds of up to 6 Gbps, the adapter card features a unique PCI Express chipset that enhances compatibility, reliability and performance to meet external SATA 600 MB/second storage requirements.
Flexibility and simplicityThe controller card is backward compatible with SATA 2.0 devices, allowing the use of older storage systems. It also supports RAID 0 and 1 modes and port multiplier capability with command-based switching and FIS. This allows multiple external hard drives to be connected to a host computer via a single external SATA connection. The eSATA controller card is a dual-profile solution, it includes a small footprint and half-height bracket allowing installation in slimline or small form factor computer enclosures. |
