Excellent product, does exactly what you expect.
Recognised without any worries (W10), usable immediately.
No problems after 20 mini DV's scanned, the software supplied is a bit old fashioned, but covers the needs flawlessly.
A bit of time to spend to organize the video fragments, but that's normal. If your need is like mine to save old DV tapes without hassle, this is the right PCI E card!
For a peripheral, I needed a FireWire 400 port which does not exist on my motherboard. This controller card allows me to use this device, but I don't need the FireWire 800 ports, which I think are too many.
Used to connect a FireWire sound card.
It replaced an a-card with a Lucent chipset that
- either caused me to crack with the usual driver
- or worked correctly with the legacy drivers, but required the card to be deactivated and reactivated at each boot to allow the sound card to be recognized
This last one gave up the soul. So I bought this model with a TI chipset, and since then, I have no more problems!
