Featuring an ASMedia ASM3142 chipset, this card takes full advantage of the speed of USB 3.1 Gen 2 technology. Supporting higher data rates, this USB 3.1 Gen 2 PCIe expansion card is essential for external drives and many other USB 3.1 peripherals. The card is backward compatible with USB 3.0 (5 Gbit/s) and USB 2.0 (480 Mbit/s) devices.
