Dominate the proceedings in your favourite games with the ASUS ROG Theta 7.1 gaming headset. To deliver a true-to-life sound experience, it features a semi-virtual 7.1 surround system with 4 speakers (30/40mm) in each earcup to pinpoint the source of noise. In addition, it features a high-quality Supreme FX DAC for powerful and balanced sound. The microphone features a unique artificial intelligence noise reduction system and can be removed from the headset if necessary. The Aura Sync RGB backlighting adds a splash of colour to the package, and the earpads are designed to provide maximum comfort.
Theta's advanced spatialization system makes it possible to maximise efficiency and immersion in your favourite games. Instead of using a single amplifier for the entire headset, it draws power from four ESS 9601 amplifiers. With 8 drivers (between 30 and 40 mm) in total, the sound delivered is rich and well-balanced, especially with the help of the SupremeFX S1220A DAC.
And to take things a step further, the Armory II software contains a number of advanced settings such as bass adjustment or the creation of separate user profiles.
The Theta 7.1 features subtle RGB lighting on its shells, where you can see the ROG logo illuminated according to your preference. Choose from 16.8 million colours and no less than 3 operating modes to achieve a visual effect that suits you. In addition, Aura Sync compatibility gives you the ability to synchronise the headset's RGB with that of your other compatible components and peripherals to provide a consistent look.
Designed for the most demanding gamers, the Theta 7.1 features large, specially designed ear cushions to reduce eyeglass pressure. Made of several complementary materials, they offer exceptional comfort in all circumstances and limit heat accumulation.
When communicating with your team, the detachable microphone features noise reduction processing based on artificial intelligence. With more than 50 million types of background noise heard in a standard environment (home, office, etc.), the microphone is able to filter out different frequencies independently so that only the voice of your teammates remains. So, nothing can interfere with the smooth running of your game!

After 1 1/2 years of normal use, the foams are disintegrating, the headband has broken! For the price, this is unacceptable.
The headphones work perfectly on my side, no problem to report. The sound is excellent, really nothing to say about this product. The price is worth it!
I've been using this headset for a while now and I'm not sure how long it's been in use, but I've been using it for a while now and I'm not sure how long it's been in use.
It's not even worth buying.
I'm really disappointed with this product from ASUS, which is a very good product.
Nothing but problems with this headset, which only worked well for the first few months. I have sound bugs (people's voices become metallic without warning, then it returns to normal), microphone bugs (many people have trouble hearing me properly). The adjustment software is difficult to find on the manufacturer's website. Once installed, it struggles to launch (you have to click several times on the icon to see it painfully launch after a minute). In short, a catastrophic experience, unacceptable given the price of the headset. It's a shame, because the sound of the games is excellent.
It had everything to please: high-end specifications, use of HIFI class signal processing circuits, one of the last representatives of the all too rare class of "true surround" headphones.
Once placed on the ears, it is comfortable although a little heavy (will not suit everyone, but it is necessary to house all these transducers), its chassis and its construction are solid (aluminum shell protecting the transducers), a double cord rather rigid (like a coaxial cable) which can bother if you move your head a lot while using it, but once on the road, the quality of the sound is there, the maximum volume is quite low in 7.1 mode (probably due to the multitude of elements to feed), the positioning and spatialization are impeccable in game, you can hear everything everywhere and you know where the enemy is coming from.
BUT.......
I received and sent back several times for a POPING sound problem raised by many people on the ASUS forums and others, at each beginning / end of sentence in a soundtrack and particularly remarkable during Discord conversations we hear a small POP which clearly for a headset that wants to be Hi-Res and Discord Certified is unacceptable, ASUS clearly lacks seriousness on the taking into account of user feedback and review of the products concerned, if I kind of concerns stated do not bother you, go, if not, go your way.
