A wonderful discovery
To start with, I only knew the Steel Series brand by name but had never had the opportunity to buy one of their products.
The main reason I picked it up was that I regularly play games on the PS5 while my partner is watching TV nearby, and I obviously don't want to disturb her, but I also want to be able to enjoy my sessions without boredom. I achieved my goal: a connection adapted to the PS5 and nothing special to adjust apart from the 360 audio and off you go. One small downside is that I don't think the headset is 100% closed, and when there's no sound in my game, I can hear what's coming from outside. But otherwise everything else is more than good. No lag, no sound skipping, and spatalisation to match.
What's more, the headphones are light and don't heat up my ears like some of their predecessors. All in all, another good point. The retractable microphone is a very good idea compared with some that are always in front of your nose even when you don't want them to be, or those that can be removed but you end up losing them.
The sound quality perceived by others seems to be good, as they all understand what I'm saying.
Another good note concerns the impressive autonomy of the beast. I used it without recharging after opening it and played for a good twenty hours before having to recharge it. And I haven't plugged it back in yet. So that's a very, very good point.
Finally, I'd like to mention the bag that comes with it, which looks really cheap compared to some competitors who offer a real little woven bag with straps to close it.
Otherwise, I'm still having a bit of trouble finding the buttons when I've got the helmet on my head. Some competitors are doing better on this point (but that could be down to me).
