Catastrophic reliability.
Hello,
one of the 3 disks is defective from the SMART Extended -> 8 sectors H.S
I don't know what to do anymore after all my WD RED NAS drives failed one after the other and before the WD Green drives (after the warranty of course...), I chose a model advertised with a MTBF of 2 million hours for Ultrastar branded DataCenters (the most reliable by reputation) and already direct a H.S at
the installation. I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I'm sure it is.
I've been using it for a couple of movies a week, 2-3 music albums and photo viewing every 6 months.
No major reading load and even less writing.
Western Digital really has a problem and move on to the competition? They bought them all out!!!!
That leaves Seagate or Toshiba?
