Very good product
For the past 3 years, my two boxes have been running 24/7/365 without any problem, one for the photo, audio and video workflow and the other for the backup connected to a remote mac mini.
To remember:
- Simple: no caddy, disks fit directly into the Sata connector with locking/unlocking doors.
- Quiet: 1 large rear fan + 1 small one for the power supply, quite discreet, and replaceable when needed.
- Efficient: Low heat output, even with 10 drives in use.
- Fast: USB 3.0 connection, an upgrade would be welcome.
- Light: a little too light, the case can't take any shocks and the whole thing is a bit fragile. To be handled with care and flexibility.
- Practical: to mount software Raid in total freedom.
- Unitary: finally a multitude of hard disks on the desk without having to deal with miles of cables and multiple connectors.
- Secure: for mirroring and other backups.
- Flexible: each hard drive can be turned on or off separately. The LEDs flash when each hard drive is working.
- Elephantine: you can put up to 180TB on the table for a reasonable price. Who can beat that?
