It's a pity that the manufacture of this product is low-end.
I use this type of case to recover the hard disks that I replace with SSDs in my laptops
I've been using this type of enclosure for 10 years now.
I had to buy it because it has no other things
Functional case.
I have two very similar generic cases, almost identical (just the Nedis logo on top) which are of better quality.
In fact, this one seems to have a bit of trouble closing when you put a 9.5mm hdd on it.
Well, it holds properly, but not great.
I have tried this with a Kingston A400 SSD which is much thinner.
And this is the drama!
The case closes better, but when I want to remove my SSD, I can't do it without using a screwdriver to pry it out!
Really not good...
So I put my little 9.5 hdd back into the case to test it on my computer (plugged into 2.0 and 3.0 ports).
The 'hdparm -t' returns a read speed of 34 to 38 mbps.
Not good for USB 2.0 which can reach 60MB/s!
You could argue that given the price, this is correct, but my two generic boxes cost me less and are of better design! :/
I'm disappointed, my first Nedis products had fully satisfied me.
I would only recommend this case if you have nothing else available and your hard drive is less than 9.5mm.
