I've never had such a slow hard drive! Supposed to be optimized for games, NOT AT ALL ! and ! I absolutely do not recommend ! Go for the Gold range instead, which are very good.
The hard drive is still working even after almost 5 years. I am very happy with my purchase.
A hard drive that lasts and can do its job without any problems, a brand that stands the test of time without any problems.
An exceptional hard drive, but it's a shame that at this price WESTERN DIGITAL doesn't tick all the boxes (features) of the hard drives below this range!
Having 6GB/s for 4 TO is perfect but for my part after barely 4 weeks of use it began to make noise quite unpleasant :( too bad for the price but still quality
It will have been running 24/7 for almost 5 years in a Chopin mini-ITX box, all fanless. Needless to say, things got pretty hot in there. After three heatwaves, he definitely seems to have Alzheimer's, with mood swings that can go as far as absolute refusal. Partial recovery of the data after a short spell in the freezer, he will now join his little friends to do some experimental work :-)

I gave this rating because the product arrived fairly quickly and it's a good product. I placed my order over the internet and it was delivered to the shop.
So far, it's been quick and easy to install, and I've had no problems setting it up.

Bought to replace a 1TB WD Black Caviar from 2011 after almost 12 years of loyal service.
It's a great drive.
However, mine arrived faulty (derailing sound and friction when the PC shuts down from the media crashing against the drive). I had to return it to LDLC who took care of it and sent me a new one. No luck, it had the same defect as the previous one. Returned again and quickly refunded to buy a SATA SSD of similar capacity from a completely different brand.

The installation was complicated but the result is there.
When I unpacked it, it was well packaged and when I tested it, it was flawless.
I chose this model because it is gaming oriented as its descriptive name indicates.
I chose this model because it is gaming oriented, as the name suggests, and as a support for an ssd (system), I reserved it only for storing my game titles.
I don't find it that noisy compared to other reviews I've read.
I have only had it since today, so it will take time to get used to it.
