Reliable and practical
The headset comes with two sets of removable ear cushions, made of leatherette and fabric. The package also contains a charging cable, so the sheath has little friction.
In terms of comfort, the ear cups adjust themselves as they are on vertical and horizontal axes. However, the headphones do serve a purpose. This takes some getting used to, but allows you to do other, more active things (the headphones stay secure and don't tend to slip, cooking, lying down). The two antennas are an asset because they allow you to always have a signal which, naturally, transmits through certain walls. The headset goes into standby mode if it does not detect any sound (audible warning).
The touchscreen interface is quite difficult to get to grips with, it is easy to set either too loud or not loud enough. Also, I was unable to change tracks or pause on Youtube. As far as drivers are concerned, ASUS offers a whole bunch of them and it's hard to make the right choice. Nevertheless, the features offered are useful both for adjusting the surround and for adjusting the sound.
The retractable microphone is handy (for eating for example), but I'm not sure it's really cut off when retracted. It is supported by a soft plastic material, which makes it easy to adjust. A detection threshold for the microphone is adjustable via the ASUS software.
I haven't run out of battery power yet (I do charge it regularly though, a warning beeps when the battery level drops).
