Known problem apparently, that'll teach me to buy before the product is officially released. Impossible to write sentences without keys appearing twice. I cleaned the keyboard + contact spray a week ago, and it came back soon after. The 1.11 firmware update alleviates the problem, but it's just abnormal to have to struggle so much, given the price and the size of the Ducky brand, which is turning a deaf ear...
This keyboard is perfect, the styling is great, exceptional quality of finish with no small flaws.
The keys are very lightly textured, which allows for a slight grip when typing, making it really pleasant to write on. The keyboard is robust, despite its small size and plastic, it weighs almost 1kg which can be felt when you take it out of the box, you can feel the weight and solidity.
The only slight problem I had was when setting up macros and multimedia keys, a tutorial helped me, after downloading the software everything was fine.
The only slight problem I had was when setting up macros and multimedia keys, a tutorial helped, after downloading the software everything was fine, I modded it to add foam insulation for noise and changed the switches, thanks to the hot swappable, the keyboard is extremely easy to disassemble by watching a little tutorial on the internet for the hidden screws, but otherwise you can do it very easily without any fear.
I don't regret my purchase at all, ducky is a well known brand in the keyboard world and seeing azerty versions of their new keyboard made me fall in love.
I'm not sure I'll regret it, just keep your fingers crossed that one day I'll see some French key sets from ducky.
when we talk about buying a first class mechanical keyboard that is Azerty we have, in reality, two options:
- import a GMK order from the US which takes 2 years to arrive and costs 450 euro,
- or buy a ducky one 3.
The quality of manufacture is absolutely stunning, the plastic of the case is finally of quality with a weight (700 grams, thus a rather heavy keyboard which feel sturdy, solid) well distributed with three choices of inclination, the keycap PBT double injection are incomparable with the set of keycap AliExpress and Amazon which crumbles after 50 pages of typing and which have a touch under the finger perfectly unbearable, here, have the right to a "frosted" effect of the plastic which offers a true softness in the contact
and the noise: this sound, round, powerful, clear, heavy, that connoisseurs call the "thocc" and which is often a guarantee of the quality of construction of the keyboard is absolutely perfect, no more slamming in the void of the Switch that resonates in rotten cases, here typing becomes intoxicating. The rest of us could talk about the overall design of the keyboard, which I think is superb but I guess that's up to each individual. The keyboard is worth every penny (that's a lot of pennies, ducky keyboards have always been expensive). The quality of the keyboard is very good and the price is very good.
