    Top Asus motherboards

    A very powerful and professional motherboard allowing to :
    - use a processor with an Intel LGA 2066 socket (of which the Intel Extreme (Serie X) range is a part).
    Personally, I also bought the Intel Core i9-10980XE processor (Extreme Edition) and it works very well with this motherboard. No need to update the BIOS of this Asus motherboard.
    - I can use up to 256GB of RAM thanks to the 8 RAM slots available using a pack of 8 x 32GB RAM strips.
    In my case, I used these: Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600MHz (F4-3600C18Q2-256GTZN).
    My use being professional virtualization (with VMware ESXi, ...) for my pro site.
    - I can benefit from the speed of 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Very useful to transfer several gigabytes (GB) of data (such as VMs, for example) in record time from one ¨PC to another (subject to the use of a 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch and a 10 Gigabit Ethernet network card on the remote PC too).
    - To have an M.2 slot for the M..2 NVMe SSD. To install Windows or any other compatible operating system.
    - numerous PCIe generation 3 slots
    - USB 3.1 (Gen 1 and Gen 2)
    - and much more

    In short, a very good motherboard for those who need power and especially for those who want to learn professional and in-depth virtualization.
