Very disappointed with this purchase for several reasons:
- Rather average sound quality, in input and output, inferior to my previous G533,
- Regular cuts of a few seconds,
- bluetooth range a bit low (again, much lower than my previous G533)
- and most annoyingly, a sort of constant crackling sound that ends up being very tiring.
I wanted to give this model a chance following a review, I bitterly regret.
Good deal, good product that meets my expectations in terms of quality in every way. The button on the headset to close the microphone is a real plus.
The sound quality is very good, however the comfort could be improved. The wireless autonomy is satisfactory
The quality of the manufacture is certainly top notch, you can feel the solidity as soon as you touch it to wear it on your head, it is very comfortable. But I have a little doubt about the life of the pads whose foam is a little too soft for my taste. When I unpacked it, I was worried about the length of the detachable microphone, but it is folded in half in the bag. Moreover, it is also a little too soft, it is too easy to change its position by accident, not easy to keep consistent settings in the discussion software.
Concerning the sound quality on the other hand... By default, there is too much bass. I was able to compare with my venerable G930 that it replaces, it gives a less clear sound in many games. To compensate for this, you have to use the iCUE software, which is awful. The ergonomics are not crazy, to say it's slow to respond is an understatement, and on top of that, I suffered from a bug that makes the game sound change randomly, not practical when you have to pay attention to even a slight noise and you miss it because the volume has dropped by more than 20% without warning. Turning off the software allows you to fix this, but in return, you lose the equalization.
Note a behaviour that is more present than on the G930, namely a "parasitic" background noise that appears when the headphones receive sound, and disappears when there is no more. And also, apparently, either it's related to the missing software or it's another bug, but the button to mute the mic apparently doesn't work (you get the "beep" that says it's muted, but the mic remains active). I still need to investigate this phenomenon further.
Finally, some positive notes, in addition to those on the manufacture. Being warned when the battery is getting low is handy (yes, it didn't exist on the G930 without going through the Logitech software). And the battery life lives up to its promise of about 15 hours.
The product is great, the headphones fit well and cover the ears without pinching.
The sound is very clear. The foams soften quickly.
There are enough controls around the headset.
- A button to turn off the microphone.
- A knob to control the volume only (more convenient than controlling the PC volume).
- A button to turn the headset on or off.
The wireless communication works very well with the Consair dongle.
Nothing to complain about, very good quality!
The product is very good and the services too: after-sales service, delivery...the helmet is comfortably large and easy to use or put on the launch.
I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and the service.
The headphones are light, super easy to use, and I like the fact that I can also use them when they are charging. The battery lasts well, the design is very nice and smart: the fact that you can so easily plug and unplug the microphone is really perfect. The sound quality for the price range is top notch, the default setting emphasizes the bass like most gamer headsets but the software that comes with it allows you to balance that out. The mic quality is great too, and it's very handy that it can be twisted like that, so it can be moved easily towards or away from the face.
The only reason I don't give it a 10 is that the headphones are a bit big, I have a small head and the minimum setting is slightly too big for me. The headphones themselves are comfortable, but the material is a kind of synthetic leather that makes you sweat a little bit in the long run.
Apart from that the value for money is really great, I highly recommend.
