Does not read 4K
Very disappointed, contrary to some reports, this player does not play 4K BR.
Relatively quiet.
Good player, but does not fit my needs.

Very disappointed, contrary to some reports, this player does not play 4K BR.
Relatively quiet.
Good player, but does not fit my needs.
Its big flaw is that it is imposing.
It looks good and the Asus finish is there.
The best thing about it is that it plays my entire Blu-ray DVD collection, and burns/plays Blu-ray DVD in silence for me.
The bundle is disappointing, Asus does not impoverish itself by providing completely obsolete burning software but they have the merit of being there.
The USB 3.0 A-male-B-male is a good choice, but it's not the only one.
It does the job, recommended purchase without any problem.
This ASUS burner is top notch. It is recognized by Windows 10 and can be installed in a few seconds. I tested it burning DVD, Blu-Ray and no problem, very fast burning and no noise, very quiet. It's very fast delivery by LDLC as usual. It is a very fast and reliable drive. I would recommend it.
Bought to complement a last generation tower that does not have a burning drive.
I've been using it for a long time now, but it's a great tool to get the most out of your system, and it's very easy to use. The must have M-Disc which allows to burn on >BL discs with a very long life (they speak about 1000 years I don't believe it but good)! This is to keep in archives, as some CD-DVDs I had burned 10+ years ago are empty of everything I had put on them ... same with old external HDDs that don't work anymore or are unreadable. But in 10 years (or more) will these drives still exist?
No noises or vibrations as I read, and the on/off button is easy to use
Quiet. Fast, I plugged it into a 3.1 port. So far it has performed its tasks without any problems. Contrary to what is said in a previous comment, there is a button to open/close the drawer, it is integrated in the shell and is therefore very design. Personally I placed it vertically as shown on the picture. The access to the ON/OFF button does not pose any particular problem for me.
