This USB-A external Blu-ray burner is compatible with a wide range of optical discs. It will read a 100 GB BDXL as well as a simple 700 MB CD! The award-winning Nero Burning and Archiving software supplied includes a host of special features such as DiscSpan, MediaHome and SecureDiscd technology to help you organise, burn and archive your important files efficiently. Various viewing options, including Nero Streaming Player App, allow you to stream your movies, photos, slideshows and other media to different devices such as a smartphone, tablet or connected TV.

Verbatim has done a good job with this model of burner, as far as I'm concerned: with an HP Pavilion PC, I had to plug in 2 USBs + the power adapter supplied. However, be careful, the 2 USBs must not be plugged into the same USB HUB, otherwise the drive will stop/restart unexpectedly. Everything else is fine, and there's even a 25GB bluray in the box. The CD-ROM and instructions are in French.
