    Not compatible with MacBook M1, contrary to the questions/answers

    This drive is probably good quality, but contrary to the answer to the question "Is it compatible with MacBook?" in the Questions/Answers section at https://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00556040.html, it is not recognized by my MacBook M1 (USB-C connections).
    On my Mac Mini, it is recognized via USB-A, but does not allow the rip with verification by comparison in Max (too many errors, on CDs in perfect condition), unlike my previous SuperDrive.

    Works very well

    This CD/DVD reader/burner works very well and does what it is supposed to do. The only thing is to plug it directly into the USB ports (therefore at the back of your PC (tower)), on your motherboard, because otherwise it will not be powerful enough when using extension cables for it to work properly.     Functional and compact, but fragile

    Perfect for purely functional use, but seems fragile. Doesn't read blu-ray discs, but has excellent playback of damaged DVDs and CDs, even heavily scratched ones. Quite noisy depending on the surface.

When I got home I connected the CD player to the USB socket of my HI-FI system, playback impossible, whereas I can play, from this same socket, CDs recorded on a USB key.
