Excellent

Burns all formats, CD, DVD, Blu-ray all in USB 3.0 connection. A little bit noisy during the burning process, but this is quickly forgotten in view of its burning power and writing speed. The drawer is easy to pull out and push in. I've been using it for a while now and it's a great tool to help me get the most out of it. I've been using it for a while now and it's a great tool. I'm not sorry for the price. I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and the price.

Not the best with an iMac

I use this burner with a pro station: iMac and FCP-X editing software. Very bad coordination between the burner firmware and FCP-X. Constant false manoeuvres. Simultaneous pop-up windows between which you can't choose. Ejecting the unburned BD-R is complicated, as the physical button on the burner is not operational in this case under MacOS, which is absurd. No access to the burner to adjust its settings. The ASUS service department contacted only answers banalities: "it's plug-and-play, don't worry about the rest". This burner is not PRO, and neither is the ASUS service department.

        Does not read 4K

Very disappointed, contrary to some reports, this player does not play 4K BR.
        Relatively quiet.
Good player, but does not fit my needs.

        Good engraver

Its big flaw is that it is imposing.
It looks good and the Asus finish is there.
The best thing about it is that it plays my entire Blu-ray DVD collection, and burns/plays Blu-ray DVD in silence for me.
The bundle is disappointing, Asus does not impoverish itself by providing completely obsolete burning software but they have the merit of being there.
The USB 3.0 A-male-B-male is a good choice, but it's not the only one.
It does the job, recommended purchase without any problem.

        Very good product

This ASUS burner is top notch. It is recognized by Windows 10 and can be installed in a few seconds. I tested it burning DVD, Blu-Ray and no problem, very fast burning and no noise, very quiet. It's very fast delivery by LDLC as usual. It is a very fast and reliable drive. I would recommend it.

5 stars because it is worth it!

Bought to complement a last generation tower that does not have a burning drive.
I've been using it for a long time now, but it's a great tool to get the most out of your system, and it's very easy to use. The must have M-Disc which allows to burn on >BL discs with a very long life (they speak about 1000 years I don't believe it but good)! This is to keep in archives, as some CD-DVDs I had burned 10+ years ago are empty of everything I had put on them ... same with old external HDDs that don't work anymore or are unreadable. But in 10 years (or more) will these drives still exist?
No noises or vibrations as I read, and the on/off button is easy to use

        Excellent product

Quiet. Fast, I plugged it into a 3.1 port. So far it has performed its tasks without any problems. Contrary to what is said in a previous comment, there is a button to open/close the drawer, it is integrated in the shell and is therefore very design. Personally I placed it vertically as shown on the picture. The access to the ON/OFF button does not pose any particular problem for me.

        Quiet but:

The on/off button is on the back so not easy to access. The stand to hold it vertically makes it inconvenient to install the discs. And I couldn't find a button to open/close the player

        Good but!!!!!

A good look, does the job well, but the on/off switch is a horror, a simple rocker switch and it goes from good to very good, shame as usual why make it simple!

Very good player. Only the vibration does not make the material perfect.

        Powerful but big

In USB 3.1, no worries, reaches the announced performances, that is to say: Very very good.

Half a star less because it's really bulky with an impractical shape, I put it upright on the supplied stand but I would have liked to put it flat and put other stuff on it but as the top surface is not parallel to the one underneath, it's wobbly.
        But I'm quibbling.

        Very good product

The Blu-ray player is very good, but robust.

The only downside is that the software provided is not necessarily useful, for the software that plays Blu-ray, you will find more powerful, easier to use and free.

        asus blu ray burner

        the plus

        no burning errors
        very good burning speed
it burns all formats, cd, dvd blu ray double and triple layer and in USB 3.0.

        the -
when you open the burner it is slightly slowed down by the little plastic flap that it has to push.
