The sound is very good. I haven't pushed the sound and bass very far yet, but the 'classic' setting matches my expectations. The only problem is that the jack cable cuts out as soon as it moves a bit, which means that the speakers sometimes crackle when I turn them on. All I have to do is re-insert the cable correctly, so it's no big deal.
This 2.1 works very well. There is a slight background noise from the subwoofer when no sound is being played.
I see 2 slight flaws, easily correctable by the designers:
- The sound control knob does not have removable cables, so you can't put the cable through the dedicated holes on most desktops. So the cable is visible at the front if the cabinet is placed on the floor under the desk and the desk is fixed to the wall.
- The bass intensity control, when pushed to its maximum, could do with a little more underfoot. You need to use an equalizer to get a correct bass level, because the two speakers spit out a lot of highs.
The only drawback I can give for this kit is a (very) slight background noise, slightly perceptible for sensitive ears. However, it does not interfere in any way when a sound playback is launched!
For the rest, the remote sound control with bass level control has a fairly linear sound level adjustment, the available connections allow numerous configurations and I have not yet detected any saturation of the kit with the volume at maximum.
I liked the sound and the adjustable bass level, the line-in on the remote control.
Unfortunately my kit just broke last night after not even 3 years of service. I guess that a component of the remote control (attached to the subwoofer!) is not working anymore because the diode does not light up when I turn on the kit and no sound comes out of the kit anymore...
Disappointed with the lifespan, I hope the same kit I bought for my mother will last longer!
Hers goes into standby and doesn't come out anymore (have to turn the kit off and on again via the remote...) This kit is obviously not seriously built.
Long enough cable to avoid damage.
The balance of the subwoofer with the 2 speakers left and right is remarkable.
I put it on my large mouse pad and have it within easy reach as quickly as possible.
The 120 watts is more than enough for a medium sized living room.
The sound quality and reproduction is very good... You won't hear a better sound for 120 euros in this range of products in the 120 watts.
