Overview

Arctic Liquid Freezer III A-RGB: bright and powerful

With the Liquid Freezer III A-RGB all-in-one CPU water cooling kit, Arctic puts all its know-how at the service of gaming thanks to an improved pump specially developed in-house and controlled by PWM. Thanks to this system, it doesn't run at full load all the time, but adjusts its operation to the temperature of the processor to limit its noise level at rest. The system is completed by high static pressure fans and another 60 mm fan near the pump in charge of cooling the motherboard's VRM circuits.

Take advantage of Arctic expertise

  • The Liquid Freezer III A-RGB is ready to use thanks to its pre-installed radiator fans in push configuration.
  • The fan cables are integrated into the ducting of the hoses so that only one cable needs to be connected to the motherboard.
  • MX-6 thermal paste included
  • PWM-controlled 60 mm VRM fan provides socket area cooling when VRM cooling is insufficient, in case of poor airflow or especially in overclocking scenarios.
  • The Liquid Freezer III A-RGB is equipped with a specially developed in-house PWM-controlled water pump that has been optimised in terms of performance and noise.
  • The improved cold plate with an extended fin surface and optimised water lines allows the Liquid Freezer III to increase performance while maintaining quiet operation.
  • The cooling surface of the 38 mm thick radiator has been extended by 23% thanks to the increased fin stack. This not only provides better heat dissipation, but also a greater volume of liquid.
  • The Liquid Freezer III A-RGB relies on P-series fans with high static pressure.

    The nightmare

Is this product already out of stock? RIP. I really feel sorry for anyone who's been tempted by this.
If there's one product I wouldn't recommend, it's this one. It's this one

Visually, there's nothing to complain about. It looks great. Cables, fan, radiator, pump. The finish is top-notch. It has everything to please. On the other hand, it's a real little monster despite its cute appearance.
Installing the pump is a torture. I felt like I was fighting a demon during installation.
I had the good idea of watching a few videos to try and remedy the problem. And I saw the video presentation and installation of the product by the manufacturers themselves. And... It's rubbish. Despite what the video shows, it's not really true. Especially when you see the comments complaining about the problem of installing the pump on the same video.
There was a comment that gave a tip to facilitate the installation of the pump, although not necessarily obvious too. But before I'd seen that tip I'd spent half my tube of thermal paste (I can't thank you enough, clever).

I've got another problem with it. And this time it's with the radiator.
It's not a standard 360 like the others. The radiator is much larger than other Watercooling 360s. As a result. I'm unable to close the top cage because the radiator is far too high. So you'll tell me that this is more down to the tower and my lack of vigilance in choosing compatible components. Except that the specifications for the towers do not indicate the height/width of the radiators. Since normally their sizes have standards.
I'm really disappointed with this product. Especially as it was my first choice because the radiator I wanted was out of stock. So I chose it because the prices were pretty much the same.
