bonjour ca fait maintenant 3moins que j'ai cette ecran et pour vous dire c'est un banger cette ecran
I highly recommend it.
I've had it for over 3 months now, and it's just perfect! the only downside is that some games get harder (HUNT SHOWDOWN) because when it gets dark it's really pitch black, and thank you I love that, it puts me back in the mood for the game and for me that's really something I was looking for.
-
To give you an idea, these are two screens, the PG27AQDM (on the left) and an IPS (on the right), with the same image and the same settings on both screens (both Asus).
After 2 months of daily use (mainly gaming, and office work (excel, code)), it's a GREAT screen, BUT :
- There's a "sharp" aspect to office work, at first I thought I'd lost 5 in each eye but... that's the screen (phew?), it can sting the eyes at first, but you get used to it (I've got a second IPS screen for that, by the way).
- I've already got a dead pixel, even if I take care to clean the screen every 6/7 hours, which I've never had on any of my screens (due to bad luck), and it's impossible to send it back because it's not covered by the warranty.
- (quibble) this screen cleans very badly, I'm used to working on my screens in "out of the factory" mode (no fingerprints, cloths, dust, etc...) and with this one, it's a horror to clean it, it's a nest of dust, traces of long-lasting cloth (micro-fibre cloth, demineralised water and so on... for cleaning), in short, quibble, but it's also the first time that a screen has bothered me so much.
- Not much to do with the screen itself, but I ordered my screen by EXPRESS (to be delivered the next day), I'm not telling you all the adventures with Chronopost, but I received my screen more than a week later, which I had to pick up 40 minutes from my home, and to top it all off, the box was in a terrible state, it's a terrible service.
Despite these points, it's a great screen, I'm switching from a 240Hz TN panel to this, it's going from one extreme to another, I'm rediscovering games, series, films, and the pleasure of simply looking at my screen and saying to myself "wow, this is bo". :D
It's a great screen, but for £800 (bought during black Friday), it's really hurting my wallet.
Very happy with this screen.
I use it as my main screen, perfect for both work and play.
I've had this screen for almost 1 month now and I have to say that I have absolutely no regrets about the blow to my bank card when I bought it.
I read a lot of things on the internet before making this purchase that made me hesitate for a long time, such as the colour fringing, the burning, or the connectors. I wanted to share my experience with other people who might be hesitating as I was.
Firstly, I didn't see any difference with my other Samsung 1440 VA 240hz screen. However, I used both monitors at the same time when teleworking (and my job consists of working on Excel all day: sharp black figures on white).
In my opinion, this is simply a marketing turf war over the different 'Pixel Layout' between Samsung and LG.
As for the risk of burning, given the quality of the product and the experience of the manufacturers, I have no concerns. Especially as there are various pixel cleaning or prevention modes available. The procedure takes 3-4 min every 6h-8h in a row (the time it takes to load a game and it's ready to go again).
The other point often raised is that there's no HMDI 2.1: but frankly, if someone wants to play on next gen then why take this 2K screen instead of a 4K one straight away? I don't understand this type of comment on the internet either....
It's true that you can always find similar screens for less, and this is the first time I've bought a screen at this price, but I'm extremely pleased with my experience. The whole product, the packaging, the OSD, the set-up, and above all the quality of the screen ooze premium. It's also an investment, which will sell more easily and at a lower price than a more 'generic' product in 2-3 years' time if you get the urge.
I'd definitely recommend it.
