The Pentax K-70 has no low-pass filter, which reduces the recordable resolution of the camera. This means you can take full advantage of the 24.24 effective megapixels of the APS-C format CMOS sensor, while ensuring fast readout of 14-bit image data for subtle gradations.
This digital camera uses a new accelerator unit, designed to optimise the innovative digital noise processing algorithm. In combination with the PRIME MII processor, it reduces noise to a minimum, even when shooting at ISO 102400 (standard sensitivity). This package not only improves image quality under everyday conditions, but also provides superb, detailed images at the highest sensitivities by reducing digital noise.

The display is designed for outdoor use with instantly adjustable brightness. It also incorporates areddish display function, which allows the photographer's pupils to remain open when they have adapted to a dark environment.
The stabilisation system allows four images of the same scene to be captured by shifting the sensor by one pixel at each step and merging them into a single image. By obtaining all the colour information for each pixel, it provides very high resolution images, with more accurate colour and finer detail than images obtained by conventional processes.
The difference in resolution is evident even without zooming in on the screen or making a large print. With the new motion correction function, the system detects a moving object from one image to another and reduces the effects when merging. Images can be saved as RAW files.
The K-70 has 100 seals throughout the body, including the LCD screen, to prevent water and dust from entering. The PENTAX SP coating prevents dust from settling on the surface. If particles do get caught, the exclusive PENTAX DR (Dust Removal) system vibrates the sensor at high frequency to remove them, ensuring dust-free images.
The PENTAX K-70 has undergone rigorous environmental testing in temperatures as low as -10°C. This model will continue to be reliable, fast and accurate both mechanically and electronically, as well as with limited changes in battery voltage, even in freezing conditions.

Impeccable delivery of the parcel.
The camera was fine after about 400 photos.
Only the battery needs recharging after about 300 photos (and there's no warning when it's running low).
So I'd recommend getting a 2nd battery so you don't run out of power.
Plus: Speed mode that goes up to 1/6000th, great for photos of insects in flight.
