Very good digital SLR camera
I chose this camera to replace an old Pentax film camera (24x36), so that I could reuse all my lenses (KA mount) and accessories (flash, filters, etc).
I am not disappointed! The K-70 is an excellent camera, with a powerful 24 megapixel sensor, and just about every exposure mode imaginable.
With the right lens (some, if not all, of the lenses sold with APS-C cameras are downright mediocre: avoid them), the K-70 produces remarkably sharp, colour-fast pictures. The usable sensitivity range is from ISO 100 to 1600 (beyond that, grain becomes visible).
The viewfinder is bright (and covers 100% of the sensor field), the fold-out screen is very good and practical in some cases where the viewfinder wouldn't be, the control buttons and dials are well designed and well placed, the grip is nice and firm.
The body uses mostly plastic for its construction, but it is a solid plastic (almost "noble" in its look and feel), which inspires confidence (it remains to be seen how well it will age).
So, of course, 700 euros is not cheap, but in my case (owner of several quality KA mount lenses as well as many accessories used in the film era), it is by far the most profitable model !
