An improved version of its predecessor, the Cherry Stream Keyboard sets new standards with its silent typing and unrivalled comfort. Specially developed for intensive use in the office, it combines conventional design, elegance and purism. In addition, thanks to an integrated metal plate, it offers ideal torsion resistance and stability despite its ultra-flat design.
Incredible typing quality
The Cherry Stream Keyboard is equipped with SX scissor mechanism keys to give you unparalleled typing comfort and uncompromising precision. This means that any lag between your keyboard and the character display on the screen is a thing of the past. You can write at your own pace without having to stop. This saves you a lot of time as it reduces the number of spelling mistakes and the number of corrections required.
The Cherry Stream Keyboard is quiet in use, making it perfect for shared offices, or simply for those who like to work in peace and quiet.
Perfect for office use
Ideal for everyday use, the Cherry Stream Keyboard has features usually reserved for higher price ranges. It has LEDs so you can see at a glance whether the Caps Lock key is on or off.
And with 10 extra keys, it makes your job easier. In addition, 6 of them control the media player while the others allow quick access to the browser, email or even the calculator.
Key features:
Silent typing keyboard with ultra-flat design
Scissor mechanism for uncompromising typing comfort and precision
Laser engraving of keys for durable marking
3 integrated status displays
10 multimedia hotkeys
Perfect stability thanks to an integrated metal plate
The Cherry keyboard I recently received is of good quality and very pleasant to use. The keys are soft to the touch and not too noisy. I have had Cherry keyboards for many years and have rarely been disappointed with this brand.

A sure thing!
Having already owned a Cherry Stream 3.0 keyboard since 2016 (the previous generation of the Stream series), still in perfect working order 6 years later, I decided to continue the "Stream" adventure with this new generation, needing one (and even two) extra keyboard(s) today. Compared to the 3.0 model I knew, the current generation offers 4 extra "application shortcut" keys, and a much firmer typing experience - which I'm not complaining about at all, as the 3.0 generation was a bit too soft: pleasant to use, but not always "faithful" or precise.
For GNU/Linux users: the multimedia keys still work perfectly (already with the 3.0 model), as well as the new "Screen Lock" key. On the other hand, under Kubuntu 20.04, the "Web browser", "Email client" and "Calculator" keys are not configured by default (no action is triggered). But with the KDE Plasma desktop (version 5.18 in my case), it is very easy to configure the launch of the corresponding applications via the "System settings" application (systemsettings5), cf. the Workspace > Shortcuts section. I have little doubt that they will be as easy to configure with other desktops (Gnome 3, Cinnamon, and others...).
In the end, I find the general quality of the Cherry Stream 3.0 keyboard, with a more precise typing. Maybe slightly less silent, but the sound volume is still very acceptable!
I'm not sorry I chose the KC 6000 Slim (which is also more expensive, but I couldn't test its typing quality - a heresy when it comes to keyboards! I invite LDLC to think about the possibility of in-store testing for potential buyers...).

Coming to
I have had Cherry Stream keyboards in the past and was very happy with them. This model is very disappointing. The keys are not at all responsive when typing. The keys are not very responsive to typing and you often have to retry several times to type a capital letter or simple letters. The only good thing is that the keys and the keyboard are quite comfortable.

Not up to the Cherry brand
The plastic edges are excessively wide, the typing comfort is correct but far from the standards that Cherry had imposed... This entry-level wedding dress will only do the job for occasional business use. To be avoided as a main daily work tool. For something more serious, without going for the true mechanical top of the range, Cherry's aluminium range (for example the KC6000), certainly more expensive, has nothing to do with it and comes from a completely different planet where the record is superior on all points.
