The DWL-8620APE is housed in a rugged UL2043 certified fireproof chassis that complies with stringent fire prevention regulations. This means it can be installed in air ducts for even greater discretion. In addition, its PoE+ compatibility allows for faster deployments and installations in areas without electrical outlets.

Dual-Band IntelligentThe DWL-8620APE uses band orientation to detect whether the wireless client supports dual-band technology, and if so, itforces the client to connect to the less congested 5 GHz band. It does this by actively blocking the client's attempts to join the 2.4 GHz network. The access point supports up to 867 Mbit/s 2x2 MIMO for the 5 GHz band and up to 300 Mbit/s 2x2 MIMO for the 2.4 GHz band.

Easy integration and managementWhether you want to use a single access point or deploy a large enterprise network, the DWL-8620APE, in combination with a D-Link wireless controller or unified switch (DWC-1000 and DWC-2000), simplifies the management of your wireless network. Using a D-Link controller will allow you to centralize your wireless installation and easily duplicate all your access point configurations.
