By harnessing the power of Wireless AC, the most advanced wireless technology, you can enjoy combined wireless speeds of up to 1200 Mbps, perfect for any demanding business application.
The DWL-6610AP is also faster, more stable, offers wider coverage with beamforming and improved traffic management with band steering to achieve higher performance. A truly flexible and scalable solution, you can easily form a self-configuring cluster by installing up to 8 similar points. Also note that 32 virtual access points can be created from a single access point. The Wireless AC1200 Dual Band Unified Access Point can be wall or ceiling mounted and powered by PoE.
Coverage and flexibilityThe DWL-6610AP delivers reliable wireless performance using the latest 802.11ac standard with maximum wireless signal rates of up to 300 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band and 867 Mbps in the 5 GHz band. The internal high-gain omni-directional antenna increases coverage, eliminates dead spots and occupies hard-to-reach areas. Beamforming technology allows the DWL-6610AP to achieve even greater coverage than its predecessor and provides increased flexibility in all deployment scenarios.
With dual-band technology, the DWL-6610AP provides wireless connectivity across two radio bands. The band steering feature allows the access point to load balance between its two radio bands instead of forcing all users onto the 2.4 GHz band, enabling smooth video streaming, instant SMS and email transmission, and fast downloads from mobile devices. |

Self-configuring clusterFor small businesses that need to deploy multiple access points but lack the resources to meet the network management challenge, the self-configuring cluster feature is an ideal solution. When a small number of DWL-6610AP access points are deployed on the network, they can be configured to form a self-configuring cluster.
When the administrator configures one access point, the same configuration can be applied to all other access points. Up to 8 access points can be used to form a cluster and make setting up your corporate wireless network a breeze. |
Centralized managementWhen used in conjunction with D-Link wireless controllers and unified switches, the DWL-6610AP can be centrally managed. This allows for easy and efficient deployment and management of a large number of access points. When access points are detected by the wireless controller or unified switch, the administrator can transfer group configurations defined on these access points instead of having to perform separate configurations.
In addition, the management and security of RF resources is also centralised, allowing the administrator to proactively identify potential network failures and weaknesses. |

Increased ConnectivityThe DWL-6610AP access point supports 802.1p Quality of Service (Q oS) for increased throughput and better performance of time-limited traffic such as VoIP and DSCP streaming. The DWL-6610AP is certified to support WMM, so in the event of network congestion, time-limited traffic can be given priority over other traffic.
In addition, when multiple DWL-6610AP units are in close proximity to each other, one access point will deny new association requests once its resources are fully used, allowing another nearby unit to accept the association request. This feature prevents a specific access point from being overloaded while others nearby are unused. |
Save energy and moneyWhen multiple access points are deployed in close proximity to each other, interference can occur if proper radio frequency management is not implemented. When a DWL-6610AP access point detects a neighbour, it automatically selects an interference-free channel. This greatly reduces radio frequency interference and allows the administrator to deploy access points more densely.
To further reduce interference, when a neighboring access point is operating on the same channel, the DWL-6610AP automatically reduces its transmit power. Conversely, if a neighbouring access point fails or no longer exists, the DWL-6610AP increases its transmit power to extend coverage. |
