The product itself is quite good quality, apart from the locking system, which seems a little fragile, if not weak.
I'm going to test it for a while, but if my SSD fails because of the locking system, I'll move on to a better quality product.
Product as advertised, received quickly and put into operation without any problems. The cloning of my old drive was carried out without a hitch thanks to this adapter.
The interface is fast, the power supply is via a USB port with sufficient power.
Hello sir, I appreciated the ease of ordering, the speed of delivery and the impeccable material.
Sincerely
Excellent welcome in the shop, the equipment works very well and meets my expectations perfectly.
Used to recover data written to an M2 SSD with an M key pin layout. No more, no less. The aluminium case is thick, heavy and solid.
It's a magic case. Thanks to its magic lever, I was able to clip, not screw, my SSD in 0.18 seconds less than with competitors. What's more, its metal design means I always have a cool hard drive. No need to put it in the fridge to copy my legally downloaded files, of course ^^, it's brilliant! However, note that it's not sold with an SSD already included, and for the price, I was expecting at least 48TB of storage and RGB LEDs. As for the cable, it's also magical, with a tip that allows you to switch from traditional USB to USB-C. Wow, thanks LDLC :)
I was thinking of throwing away my M.2 NVme... I've just made myself a small, extremely fast 512 GB USB stick!
(it may heat up a bit)
I was able to clone my SSD without any problem and recycle my old SSD as an external drive.
The overall quality is very good.
Time will tell now....
The contents of the box exceeded my expectations. Installation took me 30 seconds and I was able to recycle an old SSD into a USB stick thanks to this box.
After some disappointments with a box bought elsewhere, LDLC recommended this one and it works very well.
The other one was not detected and heated up. Well done LDLMC!
Tested with a Samsung 980 NVMe and a Kingston Fury, we exceeded 900MB/s in read and write speeds, limited by the 10Gbps of USB SS. So technically there's nothing to report.
One small downside: the rubber/rubber end caps are handy for assembling everything without tools, but they don't hold the SSD securely enough if it's dropped.
I bought this box for a 250GB NVMe SSD installed on a LENOVO L480 laptop in order to recover my data following a win 10 crash without any recovery possibility.
The only complaint about this box is the lack of a French manual, hence my -1 star, even if it's not very complicated. The only complaint about this case is the lack of a French manual, hence my -1 star, even though it's not very complicated. It's with the drawings of the foreign manuals that one guesses and understands what to do to install the SSD. To put the drawer back in the case, be careful with the polarizer, otherwise you can get annoyed if you are not careful (laughs).
The USB C/USB 3 cable is not very long but is sufficient if you are using a laptop or a front connection for a tower.
I have to say that I'm very happy with the way it works, and I'm very happy with the way it works.
solid product, it allows me to reuse an M2 disc that I replaced, nothing to complain about for the moment
The SSD strip fits perfectly, plug & play.
Delivery with Chronopost is misery (avoid)
It's a small case that feels robust to the touch and well thought out: dual USB C cable with USB 3 adapter included.
There is also a heatsink and thermal paste included.
The NVMe M2 module fits in well and there are little rubber pins to hold it in place.
To be seen in use, but a good impression.
I had it changed because I couldn't get it to go to USB 3 and even with a new one I had the same problem, in the end it seems to be a strange incompatibility between this case and my Crucial P3 500GB because the case works very well with a Kingston A2000 1TB.
So in the end it's a good product but it seems to be subject to incompatibility
I used this adapter during an NVMe replacement operation, cloning the original drive to the new one.
The little plus: The ability to set the NVMe in the enclosure to read-only, to avoid any accidents during the disk dump phase.
