At first sight functional, but contrary to what is stated in the description and the instructions for use:
- No thermal pad inside
- No system for holding the SSD on the PCB...
This is problematic.

There is a feeling of quality, neat work, and robustness.
The ALU case is cut into fins to dissipate the heat. Fortunately, because it heats up quite a bit. I think that a case with a small fan would be even better.
It allowed me to discover the world of M.2 SSDs that I didn't know. Very good, I recommend it.
This product doesn't promise the moon and isn't revolutionary but it works perfectly when you ask it what it claims to do. The included thermal pads are not strictly necessary but are appreciable, similarly the included USB cables although very short are correctly sized from a data transfer point of view and can take advantage of the 10Gb/s of the USB-C interface.
In short, no frills but very useful little extras (no tools even needed, a small screwdriver is included)

I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good idea to have it installed. It's a good idea to have it installed in a box, but it's a good idea to have it installed in a box.
Excellent product. Admittedly a bit expensive (hence the 9 instead of the 10), but the build quality is there. The aluminium block seems to be well made. Moreover, the thermal PAD system is well designed. Finally, this case is delivered with the right accessories: screws, screwdriver, USB cables, carrying case. It is necessary to be a little meticulous for the assembly, but nothing inaccessible (even with big legs!).
LDLC service is top notch, as usual :-).
This case is perfect, with a 500GB Nvme western Blue, it doesn't heat up much (barely warm), good read and write speeds (depending on the drive used, of course.) For me, between 300 and 400Mos, which is less than advertised, but leaves behind a lot of lower capacity USB3.1 drives. A bit of care and precision required to mount the drive, but nothing very complicated, however, the thermal pad must be difficult to reuse when changing drives.

The data rates are good. It comes with a thermal pad to allow heat exchange between the aluminium case and the SSD. After a 200GB backup, the case was hot but this is a sign that the heat transfer is going well.

Very nice little case where I installed a Western Digital SSD WD Blue SN550 1Tb for use on a 2019 iMac. The cables are a bit short but still enough to allow the case to rest on the desk, connected to my iMac.
