A very good hard drive from Western Digital with a capacity of 1TB, very practical and cheap to store videos. The speeds are correct even if it could be better. I have been using it for several months and nothing to say, it is functional. I have never been disappointed with Western Digital who always makes quality products.
The drive is quiet (obviously), and there are no problems with the transfer speed which seems to be within the SATA standard. It's only a month old since I bought it.
For this price, I recommend it.
Daily use since January 2020 in a Linux machine.
No problems to report, the product is as the blue labels suggest at Western Digital and provides decent performance in a quiet environment.
I would add that I sometimes heard the traditional mechanical scratching under Windows, so avoid calamitous file systems
if you want to be quiet.
Having chosen this hard drive on the basis of a friend's advice, and knowing little about it, I would say... Classic, suits my use perfectly.

I've been using it for a long time now and I'm very pleased with the quality of the product. It's a very good quality disk, with a very fast read and write speed.
Good product to be connected to a raspberry pi to make a low cost NAS. The WD blue 5400 rpm are still the cheapest for this kind of need. It's worth checking if it doesn't get too hot if plugged in 24 hours a day.

Hard drive delivered on time and functional.
However it is unstable when it comes to playback and if you have the misfortune to want to play a game on it then say hello to the momentary freeze that occurs about every 30 seconds and will ruin your games.
And for your information, yes it is possible to play in all tranquility on a HDD, my HDD Seagate 1To is not prone to this kind of failure.
The drive works normally, it is quiet, I hope its life span will not disappoint me; I will use it about 4 hours a day which is nothing like a professional use. I've had it recognized and I was able to install the bone without any problems.

I received it in a more than basic box, but the hard drive seemed to be in good condition. You have the hard drive, and nothing else. So get a SATA cable.
There is nothing special to say, it's a very basic hard drive.
It displays 931GB after formatting in NTFS on Windows. According to CrystalDiskMark, its maximum speed is about 160 MB/s for reading and 150 MB/s for writing. That's pretty good.
So I recommend it if you want to store efficiently, at low cost. I combined it with an SSD to get the best of both worlds: speed on one side for the operating system, storage capacity on the other for storing various things.
Note: in relation to Alex's previous comment, BEWARE, any hard drive out of its packaging is not "visible" from Windows until you create a disk partition on it! It is therefore effectively not functional in its current state! Don't forget to format it afterwards. After that, it is ready to be used.
After my astonishment of the packaging : hard disk in a box put in a bigger one not at all wedged (because global order) it must have taken shocks during the transit, I put it on my dock and it runs well but not recognized by windows, waiting for a solution !!!
Being a big fan of Western Digital Green I wanted to know what the blue range was worth.
Without too much surprise the disks are almost similar.
Directly recognized under Debian or FreeNAS, easy formatting, not too much noise I think, the whole thing looks robust.
The performance is ok for storage but really poor for applications, it's better to avoid using it as a support for programs.

I couldn't try this drive, because it is unfortunately in 5400 rpm, which doesn't suit me (silent and energy saving drive, but slow.)

Hard drive for a video editing station. It has been heavily used with adobe Premiere and After Effect for the last 2 weeks and it doesn't flinch. It has good performance and seems to be stable and reliable.

I took this hard drive as a backup and for a pc that will end its life quietly as I plan to change it. This one is very satisfactory for its price, I put a half star for the noise it makes but it is bearable all the same. I've been using it for a while now and it's a great piece of equipment, but I'm not sure how much I'll be able to use it.

It works perfectly and remains discreet. I'm not sure how long it will last, but I'll wait and see. But 6GB/s is not an SSD. But the performance remains correct
The hard drive works well, quite responsive for a 5400rpm and large capacity.
There are however two big "buts" to the good quality of the product (which cost it two and a half stars):
-The drive was not recognized by Windows at all (neither in the workstation nor in the disk manager) and was therefore impossible to format the first time (in NTFS format).
The LDLC after-sales service, although relatively friendly, was of no help to me and made it clear that sending it back would be useless.
So after 2 calls to the service department and several HOURS of research on the internet, I was finally able to format the disk using... A Linux machine.
I recommend this product although very capricious to operate, however I do not recommend it to the uninitiated in computer science, who may have to go through a troubleshooter to do the first formatting.
