The order arrived very quickly. I needed to replace a SATA hard drive in a very old PC (10 years old). The drive had stopped working, and eventually Windows would no longer start up.
The PC was running Windows 10. I took the opportunity to upgrade to Windows 11.
Replacing my old dock of the same brand, which was starting to run out of steam, probably due to the new USB 3 standards that are no longer compatible. Faster and better detected by Win 11.
Extremely simple to use, just plug it in and it is immediately recognised by the PC running Windows 10.
The cloning function seems very practical, but I haven't used it yet.
One possible improvement would be to make the markings on the case more legible and to specify on the cloning button "Disk A to Disk B" so that you don't have to search for the documentation when you want to use this function.

Ideal for reading and recovering data from my hard drives on my old computer. Just what I was looking for.
Used with 2.5" and 3.5" discs. Works very well. To answer a question, the 2 drives are clearly visible and can be used at the same time from Windows.
The switch is handy: you can safely remove a hard drive and replace it with a new one so that it's recognised as if it were a USB device that you plug in on the fly.
I haven't tested the clone function, but there's a direct access button for stand-alone use.
It's not self-powered via USB, it has its own power supply. This means it can be plugged into low-power sockets like those on my monitor, for example.
Rediscover the real old disks.....but in IT on 3.5 hard disks or SATA. Connection with USB plug and no software. Simple as a USB key. Clarascum

I considered this product to be a gadget, but I changed my mind after trying it out. I'd bought it to try and give a 2nd life to discarded hard drives (I replace them after 7 years, as a matter of principle, but that doesn't mean they're worn out).
In practice, it's very useful, when upgrading hardware, transferring data from an old drive (which I've just done), or providing a simple and inexpensive backup/archiving solution (a hard drive at a friend's house, away from home, for example).

The device is instantly recognised; discs are easily plugged in and recognised/played without any problem.
Tried with Windows 7 and Windows 10. In both cases, disconnects very often: very annoying when backing up, with the fear of damaging the hard drive (As unfortunately is the case with many competing products, I don't savagely fall back to one *, but it's depressing!) I have the impression that this happens more with USB3 ports than USB2.
As for the clone function, so far I haven't managed to get it to work. If I can get it to work, I'll revise my judgement (but only by one *).

Easy to use, it works as expected (which was not the case with an icy box bought previously in another shop), the little on/off button on the back is practical, the shell is shiny and not matte as the picture would suggest, nothing to complain about tip top
The product looks OK.
An attempt to copy a file from C: to an external drive works very well.
I haven't tried the Clone function yet (that's for later)
But on the other hand, where is the Download and Support site because http://advance.tm.fr/downloadcenter (or /support) does not exist and an internet search only points to LDLC.
So what about what is announced in the manual: download online drivers, manuals or need help
The manual dates from 2017 and apart from a very small address in Marne la Vallée, no existence of the company Advance.
last remark; it apparently works correctly under W10-64 H2004, but the manual does not mention W10 (but it also mentions W me and W xp !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always solicited (by family and friends) to recover data on disks without a case (PC down or change of disk) this "dock" is perfect because it allows to mount a disk from Linux or Window$ very quickly without having to reboot the bike...
A 2.5" or 3.5" disk becomes a simple USB key :-) ... and in addition there are 2 slots ....
Not yet used the clone function .... I guess you have to be careful not to make a mistake between source and destination disks ;-)
I bought this dock in the hope of cloning an end-of-life hard drive for data recovery, following several formatting operations. The cloning took 1.5 hours for 1TB, which I think is very fast.
I was able to do my recovery directly on the clone, which means that the cloning was very well done.
The only small "flaw" is the LED reading which is not very clear, and can be confusing when starting the cloning.
I highly recommend this purchase, especially for the price it costs.
Cheap product but very efficient. I bought a 2nd one that runs continuously because my first one has been running perfectly for a long time. Big disks on it, easy and fast copies, I only work on Linux, maybe that's why.
I bought 3 of them because I had 8 hard drives and I already had a similar device from Heden.
They work very well. And it allowed me to recover all my SATA and USB ports from my PC
To be precise, I also installed the 7 port ICY BOX USB3 HUB, and everything works fine.
I did not test the cloning because I use a very powerful software for that

The first time, to put the hard disks, it is a bit tricky, but after that it is fine.

The disks regularly jump and compromise copies of large files. Tested on 3 different products, different disks and different machines, the results are the same = it works badly! I do not recommend

Very happy with the product.
For info: do not want to clone an HDD to an SDD if the capacity of the SDD is smaller (even if the data to be transferred fits in the SDD). I had to download a cloning program (AOMEI) that allows this specific transfer.
