INOVU Dual Dock QS Station is a docking station for 2.5" and 3.5" SATA 6Gb/s hard drives on USB 3.0 port. This 2-slot HDD/SSD dock is ideal for quick access to data without having to open your tower and install hard drives. Thanks to its USB 3.0 interface, you benefit from ultra-fast transfer rates and maximum compatibility with all PCs equipped with USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports.
The INOVU Dual Dock QS Station V2 allows you to connect 2 hard drives simultaneously. You can access data on both volumes and easily copy or backup files.
Both slots are compatible with 2.5" and 3.5" HDD and SSD. Whatever the format of your disks, you are sure to be able to connect it to your Dock Station HDD.
The INOVU Dual Dock QS Station is equipped with a cloning button. This feature allows you to duplicate the contents of one drive to a second drive with ease. This operation is possible regardless of the physical format of the installed disks (2.5" or 3.5"). It is however necessary that the capacity of disk n°2 is greater than or equal to that of disk n°1. If the capacity of disk #2 is greater than that of disk #1, it will be possible to allocate the remaining space to a new partition (see user manual for more details).
INOVU Dual Dock QS Station is equipped with the ultra-fast USB 3.0 interface. With it you can enjoy ultra-fast transfer rates between your drives and your PC (speed may depend on the type of drives used). Using a SATA 6Gb/s SSD, you will get much higher speeds than with a mechanical hard drive). Backward compatible with USB 2.0, theUSB 3.0 interface ensures near-universal compatibility with PCs and laptops on the market.

This is the kind of tool that changes day-to-day workflow. (no more need for portable hdd's and more reliable)
It holds up well and works quite well.
Handle with care, however, and bear in mind that the transfer speed is a bit limited, even with ssd sata.
Although the dock technically works, the LED indications are out of order. The HDD1 and HDD2 LEDs no longer show disk activity. When copying or deleting, the case remains completely off even though the operation seems to be in progress... LDLC is used to better.
I have been using it for 1.5 years only.
Received quickly, product conforms, it would have deserved a little more padding, the product was loose in the box
Otherwise it accepts my 10TB WD without any problem
I recommend this product
bought a year ago, but left on the shelf since then, I used it recently to clone a hard disk
does its job well, and avoids immobilizing a PC for this only task (which can be managed by the Linux dd command)
count 500 GB/h for cloning a mechanical disk, probably much faster for an SSD disk
can be used to mount one or two SATA disks on a single USB port for classic use
based on Prolific chipset for a maximum speed of 5 Gb/s, perfectly recognized under Linux
this device does not allow (like many others unfortunately...) to bring back SMART data from the disks connected to it
apart from that, I can only recommend
Satisfied with the product, the backup is done as if to a USB stick. I have not yet tested cloning an entire disk.
I'm taking off one star for three reasons:
1/ No manual. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a backup of the drive, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a backup of the drive, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a backup of the drive, or not.
2/ I would have liked another system of connection of the disc on the case because it is a little bit plastic light. Indeed, we are never sure that the disk is well fixed because it can move (the slot is much wider than the disk). For example, when you put a USB key in a port, you can feel that it is holding. And if you leave the drive in place, it may get dusty because the flap stays open and the slot doesn't perfectly fit the drive, especially since the loading is done from the top.
3/ I find the price a bit expensive for a plastic box with two connectors inside.
The hard drive dock works well for SATA drives. I wish it would accept IDE drives
RAS. Product conforms to the description.

This device was purchased to replace an IcyBox that broke down after 3 uses. I am really satisfied with the Inovu. I have not yet tested the disk copy function, but connected to my PC, the data transfer is very fast.
At first glance, this product seems to be a perfect cloning device. But in fact, no. Hard drives of 1TB or more are not recognized for cloning.
Hard drives of smaller sizes are well recognized.
In USB, some disks even functional are not recognized by the product.
This is a pity.
I bought it in order to make backups of my HDDs with a correct copy time, the result is honourable.
The positive :
- No program to install in order to make this dock work.
- The cloning function is very practical and efficient, but it obviously takes time.
- The case seems solid, and its design is sober.
- Very easy to use.
- The transfer speed (in USB 3.0) is good.
- The included manual is quite complete and well explained.
The negative :
- The price a bit high (50€ roughly); the price of 40€ seems more fair to me.
In short :
This product does the job required and it seems solid (to be seen over time).
