Heats up a bit too much when synchronizing two drives
A bit disappointed by this dock: sure, it looks good with its unibody metal shell, but it has a big problem when I try to synchronize the data of my two disks with Echosync: the dock ends up "giving in" and disconnecting from the PC, as if it was turning off. I then have to use the physical switch on the back to restart it. This phenomenon also occurs when I have to turn off the PC when it crashes. Probable cause: excessive heating during intensive use noticed inside the dock. Has one of the components been undersized?
This malfunction does not occur with my old dock, although it is a much cheaper Chinese no-name ... but it only has a SATA hard disk slot, the other one being in the old IDE standard. Nor with the brother's (an Advance)
