The product matches the description. I was able to recover the 2.5" disk from an old laptop and install it in my desktop computer.
Incompatible with bays where the HDDs are mounted on silent blocks. The threads of the adapter are incompatible with the HDD mounting screws. You can obviously work around it, but it would have been good to provide for this in the kit of screws supplied.
Hello,
I put it into service without any problem regarding the mounting of the 2.5" drives.
I was a little concerned about the dimensions not specified in the listing, especially the height, but the width and height of this adapter match the original 3.5" drive perfectly.
Obviously, I had to make an adjustment for mounting on my computer's specific chassis (4 holes, but 2 may be enough depending on the weight if your drives are SSDs).
In conclusion, as not all computers have the same mounting system for their 3.5" drive, the 5 stars for this product are well deserved.
After a little over two years of use, it followed me everywhere and powered and recharged my PC and phone countless times... until this week, when it decided it would no longer charge via the USB-C port.
It's a shame, as I've only had this charger for just over two years, so it's too late for after-sales service. It's a bit unfortunate that it broke down "so quickly", even though overall it did its job very well.
SSD hard drive not easy to fit. It doesn't quite fit the dimensions of an SSD, so it has to be forced.
The holes should be a bit big to fit the screw and screwdriver.
It's impossible to put 2 SSDs in, so it's ok for repairs, but not for the long term. I'd go for the next brand.
