StarTech.com 's SATDOCK4U3RE USB 3.0 and eSATA hard drive docking station/duplicator allows you to copy/clone a single SATA hard drive to three other SATA drives simultaneously, as a standalone device. The duplicator can also be used as a normal 4-bay hard drive docking station when connected to a host computer system. Large capacity drives (tested with 3.5" drives up to 4TB and 2.5" drives up to 1TB per bay) can be used to greatly enhance the storage/backup capabilities of your computer.
Capable of making 1:3 sector copies (with the host's protected area) from a single SATA drive to three other drives simultaneously (at speeds of up to 72MB/s), the docking station / duplicator can save you time and effort. As an external HDD dock, it can be connected to your host computer via USB 3.0 or eSATA, providing transfer speeds of up to 5 Gb/s or 3 Gb/s respectively, from hard drives to your computer system.
Includes fast erase and secure erase features and support for IDE hard drives using the included SATA to IDE hard drive adapter (SAT2IDEDP). This disk eraser provides data wiping (secure erasure) required by government agencies and organisations with strict data erasure guidelines. Data wiping is a particularly secure method of erasing data from your storage device, conforming to the NIST 800-88 Revision 1 data wiping standard established by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology.
