The ASUS ROG Thor 1200W Platinum III with ROG Equalizer is a next-generation modular power supply designed for the most demanding gaming PCs. Equipped with advanced technologies and a carefully crafted design, it delivers power, energy efficiency and innovative features to meet the needs of gamers and content creators.
This model comes with a patented PCIe 12V-2x6 power cable "ROG Equalizer". It is designed to reduce thermal load and keep cable and connector temperatures at an optimal level to protect the graphics card.
80 PLUS Platinum certification
The ROG Thor 1200W Platinum III integrates gallium nitride (GaN) MOSFETs, offering energy efficiency up to 30 % higher than that of traditional MOSFETs. This technology enables better internal organization and optimized heat dissipation. Thanks to the use of low-ESR Japanese capacitors, the power supply achieves 92 % efficiency at 50 % load, earning it the 80 PLUS Platinum certification.
Innovative features
The ROG Thor 1200W Platinum III offers unique features such as the removable magnetic OLED display, providing real-time power consumption readings. The 'GPU-First' mode optimizes voltage stability for graphics cards, improving performance during intense gaming sessions. In addition, the power supply is compatible with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1, ensuring compatibility with next-generation components.
To ensure efficient cooling, the power supply is equipped with ROG heatsinks and a dual ball bearing fan, ensuring a lifespan of up to 80 000 hours. 0dB technology allows the fan to stop completely when the load is below 30 %, ensuring silent operation during light tasks.
ROG Equalizer
The ROG Equalizer cable optimizes power delivery to modern graphics cards by balancing current distribution through the 12V-2x6 connector. This technology reduces the risk of overheating, improves electrical stability and ensures safer power delivery for the most demanding GPUs. Thanks to this balanced power distribution, ROG Equalizer helps reduce GPU connector temperature and maintain stable thermal performance, even under heavy loads.
